T.V. & Media Unit
We commissioned Mark & Jane to produce a TV Media Unit for us to match an existing piece of furniture and to meet specific criteria including style, dimensions, physical appearance and importantly finish. From our first home consultation with them it was apparent that they knew exactly what we wanted and what was important to us so much so that they took away a draw of our existing furniture to match the finish before submitting design drawings. They gave us four finish options (colour & shade) for us to live with for a couple of weeks so that we could choose the finish that was right for us.
Once we had chosen the process began, were updated at all times with design drawings and photographs showing the progress of our commission. The production timescale was fine and we are absolutely delighted with the finished piece, a high quality, hand crafted piece of furniture that perfectly complements our room and existing furniture.
My wife and I are great believers in supporting local, quality businesses and Mark James Cabinet Makers certainly fit the bill, very talented and highly professional in all our dealings with them and we are already planning our next project with them.

Office and Laundry Room
From the very first time we made contact with Mark & Jane regarding our Office refit, we knew instantly that they not only understood our requirements and brief, they were genuinely excited about our ideas and project. The whole process was fun, easy and we were given advice on how our plans could be improved, space created and our work space organised. Every time we had an idea it was explored fully! Peg handles in our Laundry room are not only functional and eye catching, they were a labour of love by Mark and Jane to ensure we could achieve the desired effect.
This time we decided to contact Mark James Cabinet Makers to create a bespoke cabinet to match our existing dining room furniture to house a large 5' fish tank. We knew this would be difficult as it had to support huge weight, be functional beneath for pipework and filtration and match our grey cabinets already in situ. The finished piece is truly fabulous! The quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail is once again incredible and the piece looks identical in style and colour. I know that every last detail has been carefully scrutinised and by doing this Mark and Jane have once again excelled in making our crazy ideas a reality in beautifully crafted wood. Thank you so much both, we and our fish (no snakes) are over the moon!!

Oak Master & Guest Bedrooms
It was the best visit to the chippy ever!
On that fateful evening we decided to go the chippy in Audlem for fish, chips and mushy peas and while there we picked up a business card for Mark James Cabinet Makers of Whitchurch and thought we'd give them a go.
On the next of our regular trips to the recycling centre in Whitchurch, having just moved house, we called in to their workshop. We were welcomed with open arms and open paws for our dog by their ladies Hannah & Cindy on what was a very hot day.
We wanted to replace two existing wardrobes and build a completely new one. Right from the start we felt Mark and Jane understood what we had in mind and they soon came out for a home visit. The building is an old barn with slopes and beams to negotiate and complement so vision and skill were required.
Suggestions and ideas followed and drawings brought the project to life. Blueprints agreed Mark and Jane went to choose the wood with a beautiful grain specifically to show the wood off at it's best with the final design in mind.
We had regular updates both by popping along to the workshop for a coffee and doggy cuddles and by reading Jane's Workshop Weekly column on their website with accompanying photos. Building
complete we went to the workshop for final sign off before being dismantled ready for delivery and rebuilding on site. We did decide to order a second mirror to go in the wardrobe for the spare bedroom but this was no problem for Mark and Jane. They are committed to making sure at every step that the customer is getting exactly what they want and so accommodating to make it a reality.
Fitting week came and we were all so excited. Everything went smoothly including a late decision to create a 'floating' drawer in the wardrobe for the spare room but Mark and Jane are endlessly adaptable and full of ideas. It was good fun with plenty of tea and flapjack to help us all along.

"My Wife and I commissioned Mark James Cabinet Makers to paint our narrow boat. After some deliberation we asked them about some alterations we would like on the interior. Namely a new shower.
We were very impressed with their ideas for the new bathroom and found that the suggestions we brought to the fore were ingeniously integrated into a stunning design. One thing lead to another and we soon had plans and designs for a new kitchen (Galley) and breakfast bar area.
Mark & Jane dealt with the whole process from the new paint job on the exterior to re fitting the interior of our narrow boat. The level of craftsmanship exceeded our expectations and the designs they produced gave us plenty of choice to suit our budget.
We particularly like the painted T & G panelling up to the gunwales in Farrow & Ball Moles Breath as this gives our boat a contemporary feel that is light and airy and perfect for entertaining.
One of my favourite gadgets is the pop up power point that they fitted in the oak worktop. Perfect for charging my phone and laptop.
We are really happy with the results and thoroughly enjoyed working with Mark and Jane.
We would have no hesitation in recommending them to our friends and indeed, we have already asked them to make us a new table for our boat, which we have been assured will be ready for our next waterway soirée."
