The Process.

The TV Corner cabinet is made and frame attached. The template for the angles is placed on top to ensure the cabinet will fit the space perfectly.
Solid Oak Boards are planned and sanded before being glued together and clamped. Then it will be cut using the template and will form the top of the cabinet.
Oak TV Cabinet ready for lacquering.
Lacquered and ready to be delivered.
We have put temporary Oak knobs on whilst we wait for the handle choice from our Clients. At this stage stuck on with Blue Tack (That's why they are not quite straight)
All the components cut, rebated and the interiors lacquered for the bedside cabinets.
Each side, base and top strips are pocketed ready to accept the frame.
Cabinets put together.
Solid Beech Frames put together and sanded.
All door components cut and jointed then glued and put into the clamps.
Out of the clamps and sanded, first fit into the frame.
Frame & Door offered up to the cabinet.
Boot Room all cut and shelves solid lipped, Drying on the racks after first coat of lacquer.
First coat of lacquer for the back.
All the rails & uprights for the doors are grooved on the spindle moulder.
The 7 piece doors are put together after tennoning and grooving and placed in the clamps.
Boot Room Doors are clamped square before fitting to the frames.
Using the Drill Press (if you're from the States or a Pillar Drill if you were born here) to cut the hinge holes.
On to the paint room. First coat of oil based undercoat has been applied.
All components cut, shelves solid lipped, gables rebated and doors veneered. Who is on the sanding job then?
Still smiling!! Component 8 of 46. Last 240 grit sand before the staining process.
First coat of stain applied evenly by roller for the larger areas.
Second coat of stain applied to the shelves. Next job, the compressor and spray gun!
All components stained with two coats, dry and ready for the lacquer room.
Each component of the dark oak bedroom is spray lacquered using a mahogany tint to bring out the depth and richness of the timber.
Fitting Dark Oak Bedroom in our Clients home.
Busy working on the cutting lists and checking dimensions for the Seating area and Kitchen.
All doors are sanded once the undercoat has fully dried. Flattening the undercoat minimises brush strokes in the next two top coats.
Applying the first coat of oil based eggshell. To ensure an even coverage we roll on and then lay off with a hand made Purdy brush.
